WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 was a massive hit. From insane spots in both WarGames matches to the storytelling in the single matches, everything was brilliant. However, the cherry on the cake was Randy Orton’s and CM Punk’s return. The latter almost blew the roof off the Allstate Arena.
A press conference ensued after the show ended with CM Punk’s return to the WWE. Triple H sat down to talk about the show and answer questions. He was naturally asked about Punk’s return, about whom Triple H had been on the fence previously. However, Hunter said, “This was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle moments that came together very quickly.”

After this, he went on to talk about why he felt that way. Hunter explained, “You can say this about CM Punk, love him, hate him, positive, negative, whatever you wanna say, people talk about him all the time.” Hunter explained Punk’s stature in the pro wrestling world and praised his ability to stay relevant consistently.
Punk has always been praised for his work in pro wrestling. However, many still do not understand his appeal. While fans are excited about his return, the WWE has not said what they will do with him.

Punk’s run in the WWE
While in the WWE, Punk had multiple factions and gimmicks. His base personality never changed, nor did his in-ring work. However, his lackluster booking during the end of his run was why he walked away.
While he was the biggest star in AEW, Punk’s personality could be blamed for his termination from the company. While many blame Punk for AEW’s mess, many still believe he is a massive draw, which is what Triple H was talking about.
