Triple H Details the Physical Stress He Went Through in a Challenging Phase of His Career

Triple H will not take part in any further in-ring competition going forward. Several individuals took to social media and paid tribute to Triple H for his incredible in-ring career.

But even ‘The Game’ had to go through a tough and challenging phase in his career. The former WWE Champion had a phase where he would wrestle only a few times in a year, just like The Undertaker.

In Undertaker: The Last Ride documentary, ‘The Phenom’ revealed he had a phrase in his career where he would prepare for WrestleMania and have his WrestleMania match.

After that, he would have some kind of surgery that had been bothering him going into the match. And then he would go straight into training from rehab in order to prepare himself for WWE WrestleMania again.

In an episode of Undertaker: The Last Ride documentary, Triple H claimed he also had to go through a similar phase, and can very well relate himself to The Undertaker.

He said, “When Taker talks about the things he had to do to perform, I can relate to it because I was going through the same things a lot of time at the same time. I haven’t done this. I am going to come back and I am going to do this.”

“Everybody is expecting to be at the level that I was at. But I am not in the groove. I haven’t done it, can I still do it? Your mind plays games with you. By far, physically and mentally, the absolute hardest thing I have ever done in my life is performing once or twice a year,” Triple H added.

Triple H wrestled only once in 2015

After almost 30 long years, Triple H has announced his retirement from in-ring competition. If you have noted properly, ‘The Game‘ wrestled little in recent years.

For example, he only competed once inside the squared circle in 2015. That match took place against Sting at WrestleMania 31, where Triple came out victorious.

In 2012, 2013, and 2014, he had competed in less than 6 matches per year (2012-3 matches, 2013-5 matches, and 2014- 4 matches). Also, in the most recent years, 2018 and 2019, he competed on four occasions only.
