CM Punk‘s return to the WWE has been the talk of the town since WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. After nine years, the icon and somewhat controversial pro wrestling figure returned to Vince’s Playground. This sparked a ton of debate as to how other wrestlers in the WWE feel about his return. While some were visibly unhappy with this, others felt indifferent. However, one Main Event star compared Punk to Roman Reigns in terms of their stature.

WWE Survivor Series 2023 had two massive returns on one night. The first was The Viper, Randy Orton, who was the fifth member of Cody Rhodes’ team for the WarGames match. The second and arguably the most anticipated return was of CM Punk. Returning to the WWE after nine long years in his hometown resulted in a massive pop by the audience.

While the reactions of Seth Rollins’ went viral, his teammate for WarGames, Jey Uso, seems to feel differently about Punk. While on WWE’s The Bump, Jey was asked about his feelings regarding Punk and the possibility of him signing with RAW.

Jey said, “Man, sign CM Punk. Like Why wouldn’t we sign CM Punk?” This was about Adam Pearce saying Punk could join the red brand. He acknowledged that The Voice of the Voiceless had some haters in the locker room. However, according to Jey, Punk is a superstar in pro wrestling. The former Bloodline member explained that no matter what the topic was if it was about wrestling, people would bring Punk’s name into the conversation.

He continued, “He like on some Tribal Chief status. He’s top guy, regardless of whatever is going on.” This comparison to his cousin, Roman Reigns, is a massive sign of Punk’s popularity in the world of pro wrestling. The current RAW star ended the topic by welcoming the former AEW star back to the WWE. But what are the recently returned superstar’s chances of joining Raw? During the last episode of Monday Night RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce told Seth Rollins that Punk could be joining RAW. The reason behind this is Rollins’ dislike towards Punk. While the World Heavyweight champion claimed that it made no difference to him, the fans inside the arena and on social media expressed their excitement.

Since the video of Rollins’ reaction to the Chicago-based star returning at Survivor Series went viral, fans have speculated a future feud between the two. While Orton signed with SmackDown to go after Reigns, Punk could sign with RAW and go after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Nevertheless, one thing is for sure.
