Brock Lesnar wore many hats in his stellar multi-faced career. Before he stunned the WWE world, winning championships and setting records, he also scored a mesmerizing UFC run to the point of clinching the coveted UFC Heavyweight Championship. While he’s no longer up for pulling up his UFC magic inside the cage, the seasoned wrestling veteran continues to decimate opponents at the opposite end of the WWE ring.

His standout work in recent years garnered him rare praise from many company higher-ups, but nothing probably matches getting acknowledgment from his current on-screen foe, Cody Rhodes.

During the recent one-to-one interview with Today, Cody Rhodes bestowed admiration on The Beast. Crediting Lesnar for the immense amount of talent he brought to the mix, The American Nightmare went on to say, ”The toughest guy ever in the industry. He and Harley Race, I would say, are the toughest to ever step into a ring. Absolutely giant two NCAA championships and UFC championships. I love the idea that I am going into SummerSlam with him.”

However, Rhodes confirmed that he wouldn’t like to call himself a fan of Lesnar, as he’s eagle-eyed about getting the win in their upcoming rubber match. But Cody Rhodes, breaking character for his opponent, itself is a big shocker.

Cody Rhodes breaking character is a rare instance

WWE is all about selling imaginary storylines as realistically as possible. Cody Rhodes is a ten-on-ten on this. He knows how to stay true to his kayfabe regardless of the situation. In the middle of his rivalry with Brock Lesnar, WWE pitched a broken arm angle for Rhodes. Their Raw encounter before Night Of Champions saw Lesnar attack Rhodes leaving him with an “injured” arm.

Ever since then, Rhodes has been showing up with a slung hand in every WWE program in order to sell it to the best of his capacity.

Not only in WWE programming, but fans also spotted Rhodes being in the same hand-broken posture during his intimate family function and even in the recent premiere of his documentary.
