“Tough to Blow the Crotch Out”- 13-Time WWE Champion John Cena Once Revealed the Embarrassing Origins of His Iconic Attire

One of the most decorated WWE Superstars of all time, John Cena, won hearts during his time in WWE. His prime saw him rise up the ladder of success and become one of the most successful WWE superstars in modern-day history.

Such was his success that even people not aware of pro wrestling were familiar with John Cena. Cena holds a critical hand in making pro wrestling popular and taking it to the ranks it currently is. Being one of the most popular stars, he also had a celebrated career, where he won various championships several times.

Throughout his career, except for the initial phase, John Cena has been known for competing in jean shorts (jorts). Shorts and colorful tees became an identity checker for John Cena. A few years back, Cena met with James Corden of The Late Late Show with James Corden and discussed its origins.

At one episode of the show in 2020, the duo discussed his Hollywood career, his pro wrestling career, and Cena’s iconic attire.

When Corden asked him the reason behind that, Cena said, ” That’s a great question. If you look at my other options, it’s just underwear. So, I wanted to do some sort of street clothes because my persona was a tough wannabe rapper kid from the mean street of West Newbury. Tough to do that with underwears. I chose denim because it’s tough to blow the crotch out of denim.” He also revealed why he wore sneakers instead of leather boots.

He further clarified, “I tried cargo pants and, in front of the world a couple of times, here I am trying to put my life on the line with superstars during a match, and everyone is just looking at my d**k. So denim is a safe play!”

Now,  John Cena is one of Hollywood’s successful actors, and his latest DC series, Peacemaker, has received extremely good reviews.

Former WWE Superstar wants to dress up as John Cena for another wrestling promotion

Fred Rosser aka Darren Young is a former WWE Superstar, known for his time with Titus O’Neil. Young was a member of the Nexus under Wade Barrett. The faction had a feud with John Cena during their initial run.

Recently, it was revealed that Rosser would be competing at NJPW’s Halloween-themed show in New York. As per Fightful, he revealed he would dress up as Black John Cena, an identity he was referred as for several years. The themed event,”Rumble on 44th Street”, will take place on October 28th, and will feature a mystery card.
