The music of Kendrick Lamar helped Sasha Banks to heal
Sasha Banks had taken a four-month hiatus from WWE as part of growing frustrations with the company. She was dealing with depression and has also asked for her release from the company. However, Vince McMahon granted her some time off to reconsider her career and take some rest.
One year later, after her return, Banks appeared on WWE The Bump. There she shared what kept her motivated throughout her hiatus from WWE. She also gave the reason why she was posting Kendrick Lamar‘s quotes constantly on her Twitter.
Sasha Banks said, “Man that his music just hit me for some reason I just started to listen the album damn and every single lyric and every single song is just kind of fit my situation that time and I feel like angry (starts laughing). Then I kept listening to it more and more, things just kind of like it.”
She added, “I don’t know not even just from my career, I’m frustrated from the beginning since when I was a kid, feeling sad and angry not knowing myself upto like I was growing just like a caterpillar needing just to grow and go. I was just caught in that like a cacoon and I could not release this feeling that I had. And finally I was free and I was like, ‘Man this is my life, my journey right now.”

Sasha Banks was connecting to Lamar’s music, and it helped her to heal quickly. It was a tough period for The Boss and she overcame it. The way Banks has described the feeling of listening to Kendrick Lamar’s songs is proof of how much is she influenced by his music.

WWE is currently anticipating the main roster superstars’ returns or appearances on NXT. AJ Styles and Natalya are two prime main roster superstars who appeared in NXT for a feud. One more name that could add up to that list is Sasha Banks.
