Top WWE Star, Who Is an On-Screen Villain, Turns Real Life Hero Once Again

In professional wrestling, the value of heels is equal to the importance of the company’s baby face. As a heel, you increase the heat and intensity of the conflict. Furthermore, WWE has gone for the maniacs before, but no one does it quite like Sami Zayn. ‘The Untouchable’ has been a huge audience favourite for WWE and is currently a major member of the main roster.

However, Zayn’s inner ring character is very different from his outward ring image. Zayn recently demonstrated yet again what a fantastic human being he is. Zayn announced on Twitter that Sami’s initiative was a huge success, so much so that a second mobile clinic is now operational. 

If you don’t know, Zayn launched his ‘Sami For Syria’ initiative five years ago to help open a mobile clinic in northwestern Syria to give medical assistance to conflict-affected residents.

Sharing this news on Twitter, he wrote, “5 years ago I started #SamiForSyria – a mobile clinic in Syria delivering medical care to civilians displaced by war. I am proud to tell you: thanks to your support, we now have TWO clinics currently operating!”

Sami Zayn opened up about the WWE backstage environment

On the After the Bell podcast with Corey Graves, Sami Zayn recently discussed the WWE backstage atmosphere.

Zayn on the podcast stated, “There are times when I’m frustrated with it [backstage environment]. When things are going awry and I’m frustrated and I’m about to go out and I go, this just shouldn’t happen. This should be the week where it all explodes so that this never happens again, but it never happens, we always pull it off. It’s a testament to how talented everybody is. It’s crazy. As a wrestler, there are many things that go on behind the scenes, some of which can be rather unpleasant. Additionally, the recent Naomi and Banks walkout incident supports this theory.
