Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in music today. With the new Taylor Swift version of her hit 1989 album about to drop, the singer has garnered considerable hype amongst the fans and public. However, one WWE star has been targeting the singer and her potential new boyfriend for days now and doesn’t seem to show any signs of stopping.

The pop sensation has had her fair share of online trolls. However, this one is loud and brash and looks to scratch that itch.

Love him or hate him, Grayson Waller has continued to be one of the best WWE heels in the company. Whether it is going after WWE Legends like Dwayne Johnson or John Cena, his mic skills have always got him the admiration of the fans. However, recently, he set his sights on a different target: Taylor Swift.

In fact, it all started on October 21, 2023, when he made a belittling comparison of WWE fans to Swift’s fans. This would have been normal if he didn’t call Swift’s fans uglier than the WWE’s. This enraged the Swifties, and Waller began getting hate online. However, the Australian, being the heel he is, doubled down.

He posted an image mocking Swift’s biggest #1 hit song on social media. Wearing a donkey’s mask, he captioned it, “It’s me, Hi, I’m a Swamp Donkey.” This was a parody of the line “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me,” in Swift’s hit song Anti-Hero.

Needless to say, fans were not happy about this. However, WWE fans found it super hilarious. Realizing his need to attain heat as a part of his heel gimmick, WWE fans have praised Waller for going after a star as big as Swift. But why is Waller targeting Swift, of all people?

Why did Waller earmark Taylor Swift as his target?

When looking at the entire ordeal, Waller isn’t targeting Swift specifically. At first, he aimed digs at Travis Kelce, who Swift is reportedly dating. While talking to SESCOOPS, Waller said, “I’m not the kind of guy that would settle for a six, but to each their own.” This was another attack on Swift and Kelce.

A sizeable portion of the wrestling legion believes this could lead to a confrontation between Kelce and Waller, with maybe an involvement from Swift herself. With celebs like Bad Bunny and Logan Paul appearing in the WWE, creative could be looking to get more celebrities involved. The upcoming re-release of the Taylor Swift version of her hit album 1989 is a great way to get some free publicity. Only time will tell if Swift herself responds to Waller’s trolling.
