Top WWE Star Picks Bret Hart Over Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair for This Reason

Pro-wrestling has seen many great wrestlers over the years. Wrestlers like Bret Hart, Daniel Bryan, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, etc have made their name in the business for being the best in-ring performers over the years.

Recently, Sami Zayn claimed Bret Hart is underrated in the business. Sami Zayn sometime back appeared on the show ‘Out of Character’ hosted by Ryan Satin. There he explained the reason Bret Hart is the most underrated WWE superstar, as he does not get the credit he deserves.

This discussion came up when Ryan on the show asked Sami whose finishing move would he use as his own. Sami said sharpshooter because he is a fan of Bret Hart and then explained why he thinks the Excellence of Execution is underrated.

Sami said, “Underrated, by the way. Hot take. Bret Hart, underrated. When we really talk about Bret Hart, ‘Oh, of course, he’s the best’, but he is not for some reason, when people talk about the best, he’s not the first thing that comes up and he really should be. People talk about Flair, Undertaker, Shawn, and all these other people, ‘Oh yeah, and also Bret’. Bret is top of the list for me man”

According to Sami Zayn, Bret Hart is not the first wrestler that comes to mind when some say the greatest of all time. Hart was one of the best technical wrestlers the business has ever seen and, being a Hart fan, Sami puts The Excellence of Execution on top of WWE legends, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels.

Bret Hart was a better craftsman than Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes

While discussing Bret Hart being an underrated pro wrestler, Sami Zayn claimed we do not remember him in the list of best wrestlers. However, Sami thinks Hart should be in the top 5 as he was an excellent craftsman.

Sami added, “As a craftsman. I’m not better than you, I’m not objectively better than you. Everything is subjective, but there are a lot of things, when it came to the craft, no one was better than Bret. Flair cut a hell of a promo, Dusty cut a hell of a promo. Shawn was good at different things. When it came to the craft, Bret is the man. He’s the absolute man. As crazy as it is to say, he’s underrated”.

Bret Hart made a name for himself in an era when big muscular wrestlers were preferred. He took it up as a challenge and made technical wrestling much more alive and the fans loved his in-ring work.

As for Sami, he respects Bret Hart the most, and he also had the privilege of getting called up by the Hitman on his RAW debut back in 2015.
