Rhea Ripley opens up about her wrestling idol
When asked about her wrestling idol while growing up, Ripley mentioned the names of three WWE superstars–Triple H, The Miz, and CM Punk.
She said, “Apart from the guys in Australia, I always looked up to Triple H, CM Punk, and The Miz.”
Ripley further went on to say that she looked at all three of them for different reasons.
She added, “I thought Triple H was a bada*s, and he was so good at what he did, whereas The Miz and CM Punk, they’re just so good on the mic. I really loved listening to them talk–I was always captivated, and I always listened to their whole promo until the very end and I really looked up to them. I wanted to be able to do that one day.”
This has turned out to be a good week for Ripley as she became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion for the first time. They paired Ripley up with Nikki A.S.H and the duo defeated Natalya and Tamina for the titles.
