Top WWE Official Pulled the Strings to Bring Back Madcap Moss

Riddick Moss officially returned to the WWE on September 24, 2021, under a new name ‘Madcap Moss’. The WWE superstar was out of action for a long time because of an ACL injury.

Moss made his return on SmackDown during Corbin’s “Happy Talk” premiere as he attacked Kevin Owens from out of nowhere.

Moss, who was earlier seen on Monday Night Raw, is considered by many to be one of the most promising wrestlers around. The WWE superstar was even a personal favorite of Paul Heyman.

Heyman has been a big fan of Moss and had claimed Moss has a great future in the business. But unfortunately for Moss got ruled out of action due to an injury.

The return of Moss on SmackDown was surprising as he got drafted to Monday Night Raw last year. But he never appeared after the draft.

After an inquiry by Fightful, it was revealed to them by WWE that since Moss never showed up on RAW after getting drafted last year; they thought it was the right time to get the WWE superstar back in action alongside Corbin with the 2021 draft coming up.

A WWE Official also told Frightful how he was “shocked and impressed” after seeing Riddick Moss wrestle with a suspected injury back in 2020. Moss’s return is a testament to the fact that the WWE does everything to keep the talent they think has great potential.

Madcap Moss teamed up with Happy Corbin to take out Kevin Owens

Recently, Kevin Owens and ‘Happy’ Corbin have been taking various digs at each other. A few weeks ago, Kevin Owens was seen marching down the ring as he tried to interrupt Corbin during his “Happy Talk” premiere.

But much to the surprise of Kevin Owens and the fans, he got attacked by Riddick Moss as he was marching to the ring. Moss then teamed up with Corbin and the two assaulted Kevin Owens.

We again saw Moss with Corbin in the following week on SmackDown during Corbin’s match with Kevin Owens. But this time WWE had associated him with a new name, ‘Madcap Moss’.

Moss played a key part in the match as he helped Corbin to pick up the victory over Kevin Owens. Owens looked determined and unleashed his wrath on Corbin at the beginning. But the numbers game proved too much for Owens.

It was Corbin who ultimately picked up the win following the distraction caused by Madcap Moss on Kevin Owens.

We also saw the team of Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss getting drafted to SmackDown on that night. The blue brand of WWE picked the duo during the third round of Night One of the WWE Draft 2021.

However, their rivalry with Kevin Owens seems far from over, as Owen will have a lot to say after his loss to Happy Corbin this week.
