Brock Lesnar once had an infamous win against Kofi Kingston during an episode of Friday Night SmackDown in October 2019. It resulted in fading Kofi’s glory to hold the WWE Championship, which he held a few months back. WWE world was not happy with The New Day member losing the belt too quickly.
After 4 years of the event, Kingston recently revealed his feelings about that unpopular bout between Lesnar and himself. Moreover, contrary to what everyone thought, he seemed satisfied and even grateful to Brock Lesnar for the apparent unfavorable outcome.

Though fans are still over the moon about Kofi’s phenomenal victory against Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35, he has been totally out of the world title picture since that aforementioned controversial defeat. During a recent interview on the Out of Character podcast, the Ghanaian wrestler recalled how Lesnar’s move during that match helped him financially. “The F5 from Brock, I think a lot of people were surprised with how quickly it happened, you know? I don’t get paid by the hour, so (…) it was the most money I’ve made in the least amount of time, aside from the Rumble last year.”, he explained.

However, this was not the first time. Kofi also spoke about that controversial match of his career last year during a conversation with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston. On asking why it was such a quick match, The New Day Match star shed light on how he didn’t even question the humiliating loss and how he is content with his achievements in the game so far.
Kofi Kingston misses his signature spot in Royal Rumble
We have certainly known the 41-year-old star for his insane spot in Royal Rumble Matches. But unfortunately, this was not the case for the last two years. Gunther, who was an excellent performer in this Royal Rumble, caused Kofi’s elimination during merely 15 minutes of his entry. It looked like Kofi tried hard to save himself from elimination, as he did always. He desperately tried to land on the desk chair, but the plan didn’t work out. He fell to the ground instead, missing his spot for two consecutive years.

Despite what happened in the Royal Rumble or the most disputable SmackDown match, Kofi Kingston remains a fan favorite for whatever he has done over his 15-year career span in WWE. The veteran superstar is currently the NXT Couples champion, along with Xavier Woods, and his timeless journey of legacy continues.
