At Elimination Chamber 2023, WWE superstar Sami Zayn competed against his former ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal championship. Even though Sami gave a spectacular performance and won millions of hearts, he failed to capture the elusive title.
The match started well with ‘Sami’ chants. Initially, Roman Reigns dominated the former ‘Honorary Uce’ but as the match proceeded, Sami picked up the pace and showed the champion his full repertoire.
However, in the end, Roman Reigns retained the title by attacking Zayn with a steel chair when the official was out. The ending was quite predictable and WWE fans complained that the ending didn’t live up to the phenomenal performances put up by the wrestlers.

Seeing the hype around Sami Zayn, the WWE universe wondered if the brass will schedule him for the title match at WrestleMania 39, making the main event a triple-threat match. But, it didn’t happen as WWE shattered this vision within no time.

It is reported that WWE has dropped the idea of a triple-threat match. This made WWE Universe wonder if the path is leading towards scheduling Sami Zayn in a tag team championship match along with Kevin Owens against ‘The Usos’ at WrestleMania, this year. With the ongoing angle in Zayn’s storyline, it was quite predictable.
