Tony Khan has been called out on numerous occasions by wrestling fans for not being able to fill the seats during AEW’s domestic shows. His competitors, on the other hand, rarely face such problems. In the UK, as WWE is getting ready for Clash at the Castle, new ticket sales information has emerged, showing that the promotion may not be doing as well as it did two years ago.
The PLE will take place on the 15th of June in OVO Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland. The ticket sales are out with only a few days left before the eventful day and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture.

AEW went to the Wembley Stadium in England for its biggest PPV of the year 2023, ‘All In’. And the attendance figures proved for good reading. Around 80,000 people attended the event inside the arena. This year, when WWE decided to join Scotland for ‘Clash at the Castle’, it kept a significantly low seat capacity for its show. According to WrestleTix on ‘X’, the leading wrestling promotion set up only 11,119 seats for the upcoming PLE. Seven days ago, 10,512 of them were sold and 495 more sold out by the time these stats surfaced.

This was an enormous step down from the 2022 Clash at the Castle which took place in Cardiff, Wales. The capacity for the show was 67,580, with 62,594 tickets sold merely a few days before the PLE. Although WWE technically didn’t fail to meet the attendance because they kept the capacity low, it was still a big change from the time when they hosted a vast audience in the UK.
