Tony Khan Refusing to Take Advantage of Vince McMahon’s Vulnerable Situation Leaves Fans Impressed: “Dude Doesn’t Want to Kick Them While Down”, “Being the Bigger Man”

WWE is currently undergoing a tough time. The company currently has fans enraged with rumors of Vince McMahon‘s return and the news of their purchase by Endeavour. After WrestleMania 39 ended, fans were particularly dejected at the fate of Cody Rhodes.

And at WWE RAW after ‘Mania, the show’s quality was criticized after it was reported there were numerous rewrites by McMahon himself. This enraged the fans and made them think if it was Vince McMahon who ran the show that night.

With news of Vince McMahon returning to WWE in a creative role, fans are now worried about the future of the company. And this was a great opportunity for its rival promotion AEW to take a dig at their current predicament as they are infamous for taking shots at WWE now and then. But during the recent episode of AEW, Tony Khan would refrain himself from making a controversial move similar to Eric Bischoff.

In a video going viral online, fans noticed one-half of the tag team FTR, Dax Harwood handing Tony Khan a sign reading, “Vince fears Tony sign”. The sign had similar vibes to the 90s, the “Vince fears ratings” sign in WCW during the Monday Night Wars. However, in contrast to Eric Bischoff, Khan would refrain from holding out the sign, and play to the crowd.

WWE fans were quick to notice Tony Khan’s gesture and started applauding him. They would claim how Khan became the bigger man here and refrained from indulging in petty controversy. The AEW president maintained his honor and did not pick up the sign.

While, back in the late 90s, during the Ratings War, Eric Bischoff had picked up the sign, and posed in front of the camera. However, soon after doing this, the demise of WCW would begin, and years later, WWE would purchase the company.

Wrestling fans are impressed by Khan’s actions and have expressed their feelings about the whole ordeal on social media.
