Tony Khan is popular for receiving backlash from fans, especially on social media. Recently, a wrestling fan took to Twitter to criticize a move that he had presumed Tony Khan pulled off. The user uploaded a picture from the set of the last AEW Dynamite episode. The account then used this picture to take shots at Tony Khan for supposedly “appreciating” himself for a job well done.

However, Tony Khan didn’t sit silently while the fans were making fun of what went down on Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite started in October 2019 and also had to shift its home once in between. After everything, the show has only recently hit the 200-episode mark. As of recently, Dynamite has successfully aired 204 episodes. When the AEW show hit this mark, the company displayed a sweet message on the big screen. This was not well received by some wrestling fans.

AEW Dynamite displayed a ‘thank-you’ message on the big screen when they hit 200 episodes for the show. However, the thank-you message was not for the fans, the staff, or the performing members. Instead, the message read, “Thank you, Tony Khan“. This didn’t sit right with some fans, and one of them even spoke out about it.

Tony Khan putting up a Thank You Tony Khan graphic is the billionaire equivalent of Michael Scott buying himself the World’s Greatest Boss Mug. When WWE hits milestones, they thank the fans. When Tony hits milestones he thanks himself,” said the fan, drawing a parallel between AEW and popular sitcom The Office.

Tony Khan replied to this by saying, “It was a surprise from the crew after the live 200th episode of Dynamite. It was a nice moment and unexpected. I appreciated it very much.

Despite all the shots that Khan has to endure, there are also rare moments when fans are kind to him.
