Goldberg is an icon in the professional wrestling world. A wrestling career that is over 2 decades and is still going strong had a lot of special moments.
But one achievement that will go down in the history books forever is Goldberg’s winning streak in the late 1990s. Recently, AEW President Tony Khan made an ignorant comparison of Goldberg with AEW superstar Jade Cargill.
He mentioned in his opinion, Jade Cargill’s run in AEW is probably the most dominant run of any wrestler in North America on television since Goldberg 25 years ago.

Cargill made her AEW debut in November 2020. Since then, Cargill is yet to be defeated. She even progressed to the final round of the AEW TBS Women’s Championship Tournament after defeating Red Velvet and Thunder Rosa.

25 years ago, Goldberg began his famous streak of 173-0. In 1997, Goldberg defeated Hugh Morrus in his debut match in WCW. And that marked the beginning of one of the greatest undefeated streaks in professional wrestling.
In 1998 at Starrcade PPV, Goldberg’s undefeated streak ended after he got defeated by Kevin Nash.

Goldberg made his return to WWE after 12 years
After leaving WWE in 2004, Goldberg returned after a gap of 12 long years. But following his return, he once again proved he is still a champion. He faced some top WWE superstars like Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman.
He even won the WWE Universal Championship by defeating Kevin Owens at Fastlane in 2017. But later lost the championship to Brock Lesnar. Again, at the 2021 Royal Rumble PPV, he unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE Championship.
After that, the former WWE Universal Champion got involved in a heated feud with Bobby Lashley. The feud got personal after Lashley put Goldberg’s son in the Hurt Lock at 2021 SummerSlam.
At 2021 Crown Jewel PPV, Goldberg faced Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere match. On that night, Goldberg defeated Lashley after hitting Lashley with a vicious spear.
