The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns is currently on the greatest run of his career. From being heavily booed a few years ago, to making his return as a heel in 2020, Roman Reigns has been able to completely turn his career around. Back in 2018, fans saw Roman Reigns relinquish his WWE Universal Championship after his leukemia returned, and nothing has been the same since.

Despite recovery, Reigns chose to miss out on WrestleMania 36 in 2020 because of Covid-19, and health scares. He would make his return later that year and start his greatest gimmick. While fans believed Reigns had recovered, he recently dropped a major update.

On the latest episode of WWE Legends documentary, Roman Reigns revealed that he is still undergoing his cancer medication, and is not completely cured yet.

He said, “For leukemia, if you caught it in an early stage like I did, you’re able to take a medication, a very important medication, that I am still on to this day.” This possibly justifies all the doubts regarding Reigns’ part-time contract.

Despite his health taking a toll, and him being on medication, The Tribal Chief is still going strong ahead of his WrestleMania XL bout against Cody Rhodes.

Recently, Paul Heyman also dropped major news about Reigns considering retirement during the Covid phase. However, it never happened, and fans were able to witness the rise of The Head of the Table.

What did Paul Heyman reveal about Roman Reigns’ ‘retirement’ during Covid-19?

During a recent interview, WWE Hall of Fame 2024 inductee Paul Heyman revealed how The Tribal Chief considered himself retired in 2020 before his ultimate comeback. Heyman said, “every week I heard all the SmackDown writers and producers and personnel saying, ‘God, I just wish Roman would come back.’ And I would ask, has anybody talked to him? Yeah, he says he’s retired.”

The Wiseman considers Roman Reigns’ return a miracle and is glad that it took place. Roman Reigns’ 2020 return saw him pairing up with Paul Heyman, and begin the reign of The Tribal Chief. During the latest documentary, Reigns teased that if he loses the World title, it might be the end of his career.

As much as we want to see Cody Rhodes finish his story, we definitely do not want to see Roman Reigns finish his career at WrestleMania XL.
