The latest edition of NXT had a major surprise in store for the fans. News emerged that Roxanne Perez, the top champion, would defend her title at Battleground on June 9th. Ava Raine, the General Manager of NXT, had a very interesting proposition and opponent for her.
Roxanne Perez gave a promo in the ring without showing any importance to her opponent at Battleground. Raine interrupted the champion to introduce none other than Jordynne Grace, the reigning TNA World Knockouts Champion. Grace stepped into the ring, and it was made official that she would face Perez at Battleground for the NXT Women’s Championship. But how did this surprise come to fruition, and can we see more superstars being exchanged? Let’s find out.
WWE and TNA have collaborated again this week with the appearance of Jordynne Grace, the World Knockouts Champion, in NXT on Tuesday. Grace will fight on NXT next Tuesday against Stevie Turner and a few days later, specifically on Sunday, June 9, against Roxanne Perez, in one of the most hyped matches on the NXT Battleground card.

All about the WWE x TNA crossovers
This agreement between NXT and Jordynne Grace will see her appear on the brand on at least three occasions, which include the one she did on Tuesday, the one she will do next week, and later at Battleground. Grace will charge at least six figures for these appearances. He also had something more interesting to share. As the two promotions can expect to see more crossovers in the near future. “We’re told that the door is very open for more NXT crossover with TNA. There were some that wondered if Scott D’Amore’s departure from TNA would close that, as he helped facilitate the Royal Rumble appearance on his way out. However, those we’ve spoken to in TNA say that the lines of communication have remained open.” This gives more context to the latest tweet by Drew McIntyre, as he shared a picture of himself from his TNA days with the caption, “Doors open both ways.”
