Vince McMahon’s run as the creative head of WWE wasn’t seated very well with many wrestlers. While McMahon’s contribution to the business is undeniable, WWE performers seemingly feel more at home with Triple H’s leadership, as it allows them more leeway with their characters than before.

McMahon rejoined the company earlier this year as the executive director while the creative remains to be in the hand of Triple H. But considering some old patterns of booking matches emerging, there has been a lot of speculation regarding Vince McMahon taking over the creative again. There has also been much clarity and answers coming from various personalities so far. But fans didn’t seem to take those very seriously unless and until the main man chose to open up.

Nick Khan, the present CEO of the Stamford-based company, finally revealed the truth after months of guesswork by fans. Ahead of the biggest showpiece event of the year, Khan appeared on The Marchand and Ourand Sports Media podcast to clear his takes on several issues. That includes WWE’s potential sale, and the most talked about McMahon’s role in the creative as well.

Stating the fact straight, Khan noted, ‘Vince is not that involved. Paul Levesque [Triple H] is the head of creative and was named the head of creative in August. Vince has embraced that, he’s respect that.’ However, he didn’t rule out Vince’s minimum participation, saying,’ It’s also his son-in-law, so they have their own dynamic.’

The crisp reply is somewhat difficult to understand how and in what proportion the father-in-law- son-in-law dynamic contributes to the creative. But the hint is clear enough to be sure of the fact that the creative is still not totally out of McMahon’s sway.

While there was a doubt for a long, Khan’s announcement quite naturally stirred further discussion and agitation among fans who aren’t ready to tolerate even the least amount of interference from McMahon in the creative.

They rushed to the comment section to let out their frustration, saying McMahon doesn’t even know what the fans want.

Some wrote they will stop watching the sport if this is the case.

Some of them sarcastically take a dig at Nick Khan’s double-meaning statement.

A few of them noted that they know it already, while some people deliberately didn’t pay heed to it before.

One of the users gave reference to Lashley’s wasted WrestleMania spot to point out McMahon’s influence.

Another one even brought out McMahon’s scandal to justify why he should stay out of all of this.

However, regardless of what fans say, it seems like Vince McMahon continues to play at least some significant role in the creative.

Will Vince McMahon be present at WrestleMania 39?

The ex-CEO of the company was forced to vacate his chair in July 2022 amid several misconduct allegations. Later, in 2023, McMahon returned as the executive director predominantly because of facilitating the sale of WWE, which is still in process.

WrestleMania 39 will take place on April 1 and 2, at SoFi Stadium, California. Reports suggest that Vince McMahon could possibly be at the show. However, it is still unclear whether WWE will broadcast him or not. It’s also pertinent to note that he was also present backstage at the 6th March’s Raw episode.
