People around the world have been idolizing Hulk Hogan for his confidence and body for years. The Hulkamania was fit and ready to wrestle any and everybody. Whether it was the huge Andre the Giant or his exact doppelgänger in The Ultimate Warrior. Vince McMahon featured the man in the main event of 8 out of the first 9 WrestleMania. That should give you the respect and adoration of the fans.

Even after his initial peak, the Hulkster made a comeback that no one thought was possible. In the nWo, Hogan was able to go toe to toe with the younger talent. The WrestleMania between The Rock and Hulk Hogan is a testament to the continuous popularity of his character. But who knew that the face of the WWE was once teased and bullied around for being fat?

The same man who put WWE on the map of North American wrestling was treated unfairly everywhere he went. Therefore, it is a relief to see that more people would not suffer the hate that Hogan faced. His participation in an anti-bullying program was the place Hogan decided to unveil this side of his past to the world.

Hulk Hogan reminisces memories of being bullied for being fat

While talking with Marc Mero about his experience with being bullied, Hulk Hogan said, “When I was younger, I was very fat. Everybody from my brother to everybody in the neighborhood teased me. And said everything from your head is too big or you need a bra. They really came down strong on me and tease me.

Even when I was playing baseball, I knew in my mind that if I didn’t hit a home run, if I kicked the ball inside the park anywhere, even hitting the ball in the center field fence in the middle of the fence I still couldn’t run past the first base.

And the one time I did run to the second base, they threw me out and the whole place hew hawed laughing. So I know what it’s like to be bullied as a kid. Never took my shirt off till I was 19 years old and I know what it’s like to have people always on you and what it can do to your self-esteem,” Hogan added.
