Former US Champion went under the ropes
Fans were hyped when Carlito made his return to the WWE. But no one expected him to win the Royal Rumble when he made his appearance in the PPV. However, it seems like he is actually one of the winners of the event, along with Cody Rhodes. Why? Well, the viral video uploaded by X showed the major botch by the company, which proved that Carlito was never actually eliminated from the Royal Rumble. After being hit by Karion Kross, he rolled under the ropes and was later thrown off the apron by Bobby Lashley.

But according to the rules, a person can only be eliminated if he/she goes over the top rope. So the LWO star needs to finish his story. But it seems to be just a botch rather than an intentional move. And it seems tough to imagine the WWE taking notice of the situation unless they wish to build a storyline around it. They’re currently focused on The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and Roman Reigns storyline for WrestleMania XL. So it seems impossible to even think of Carlito being made the fourth cog in the story.

However, they may have to address it if the fans start trending it on social media as well. Just like they raised their voices as The American Nightmare was made to walk out of the opportunity to face Roman Reigns. So #WeWantCarlito, maybe? Or a restart of the Rumble match like the 2005 Royal Rumble, where Batista and John Cena landed together. What do you think? Could this be a good storyline for Carlito?
