Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns are two of the most popular and decorated wrestlers to have emerged from the renowned Anoa’i family in WWE. The two stars are cousins, who have been poster boys of the Stamford-based promotion. While they get along well and have acted together in movies, Reigns once accused The Rock of lying. By doing so, he also endorsed Hollywood comic Kevin Hart’s sentiment about the 51-year-old.
All three of them were also part of 2019 released Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, when The Tribal Chief made his accusations against his cousin.

Johnson and Reigns were part of a game to determine co-ordination during the movie’s promotion and took on the duo of Hattie and Queenie Shaw, played by Vanessa Kirby and Dame Helen Mirren, respectively. The Samoan cousins represented their reel family, the Hobbs.
When asked who the funniest was, the Shaw family got it wrong by displaying one another. On the other hand, Reigns was quick to show his love for his senior WWE peer. But after giving it a thought, Johnson decided to pick Reigns. As they got it wrong, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion called out Johnson’s lies.
“This is a battle of humility here. Quit lying already,” he said, of course in a friendly manner. Last year, Kevin Hart also accused Johnson of lying.
The duo, who have been part of a few acclaimed movies together, were promoting their film, DC League of Super-Pets, in 2022. As with this duo, they engaged in banter through a game called ‘Pass the Phone’. This allowed the duo to insult one another. While Johnson unloaded his barbs, questioning Hart’s lineage, the $450 million comic had the last laugh by managing to make Johnson laugh out loud.
Hart said Johnson has been lying about his Hawaiian roots his entire career, making The Great One crack up. In reality, Johnson is part Samoan, connected to the island through his mother’s side.
Meanwhile, Reigns seemed to have lost some of the humility that he displayed a few years ago.
Roman Reigns humiliates Dwayne Johnson ahead of SummerSlam bout with Jey Uso
A lot has changed since Reigns’ starring role in the aforementioned movie. He has, since then, become one of the greatest champions in WWE’s history and by far the most dominant in the new millennium. With both the Universal Championship and WWE Championship under his belt, Reigns managed to unify them and hold them for more than 1000 days in his current run.
The Big Dog was a guest on ESPN’s First Take show, where he discussed his upcoming match with Jey Uso at SummerSlam, his run in the WWE, and opponents who can beat him.
Guess who Reigns thinks has a chance of taking the belt from him? Is it Johnson? No, according to the six-time world champion, no one is able enough to do the job.

When the hosts asked him: “Is there anybody you think can take this from you? I mean, what if The Rock decides to return and goes up against you? That could be a possibility…” Reigns simply stated himself as head and shoulders above everyone.
So, not even The Great One has a chance, according to Roman Reigns. To be fair, Reigns did try to have a match against him at WrestleMania 39. Had that taken place, fans would have been sure about the claim.
