WrestleMania Goes Hollywood is less than three weeks away. As the big premium live event of WWE comes closer, several names are speculated to appear at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Similarly, a former WWE superstar who cut ties with the Stamford-based promotion recently teased a return at The Showcase of Immortals this year. And Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt may not like this piece of news.

Targeting The Almighty’s WrestleMania tweet, Matt Cardona — aka Zack Ryder — via his Twitter handle gave a hint to the fans of his potential WWE return. Retweeting Lashley’s post, he wrote, My last @WWE match? & My First Match back? #AlwayzReady”

Clearly, the former 2-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion is teasing a return to Vince McMahon’s promotion. And he has already chosen his opponent to target upon his return.

By the looks of Ryder’s message, we can infer that if the former United States Champion returns at WrestleMania, then he will go after The Almighty by replacing the Eater of the Worlds.

Also, a few months back, the New York-born superstar did something similar by teasing a Royal Rumble 2023 return. But later in the first premium live event of this year, the WWE Universe saw his wife, Chelsea Green, making the return to WWE. Despite being a popular star throughout his stint at the wrestling promotion, the former star left the company in 2020.

Why did Cardona leave the wrestling promotion?

The former WWE superstar was one of the many wrestlers that the promotion released as part of budget cuts in April 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But this turned out to be a wonderful experience for him, as leaving the number one wrestling promotion helped him to find himself, as he said in an interview.

After cutting ties with the company, the talented wrestler embarked on the journey to make a name for himself outside the world of WWE. And he was successful in doing so. He fought in different independent promotions in the past couple of years.

In these past years, the 6’2 star won many titles as well. The 37-year-old pro wrestling star is currently working for Impact Wrestling and National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
