After retaining his title at NXT Gold Rush against Bron Breakker in an instant classic, Rollins got a hold of the mic. Even though he was panting after the match, he made sure to thank the fans for their support.
After that, Rollins mentioned that the champions from the Golden era of wrestling like Harley Race, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, and the legend at the commentator’s table, Booker T, are inspirations for his current title reign. He even added, “If I can even lace those boots for two seconds, and if I can be a part of that lineage, then I’m doing something right.”
After that he stressed the fans’ involvement in his success, saying, “That right there, all of you, you guys embody the same energy that I left NXT with a decade ago. You guys are still the proving ground for every single person back there, you guys and your vitality, your love, your energy is what has made me a visionary. It is what has made me a revolutionary. It is what has made me…” The crowd chanted his name to end the segment.
The reception of his speech was massive, and the fans loved seeing Rollins in NXT again. But how is Rollins keeping up with the stress of being a fighting champion, as he promised?

When the WHC tournament was announced, Rollins promised that he would be that fighting champion for the audience. He stressed the fact that he’s going to be significantly different from Roman Reigns.
Lo-and-behold, Rollins is delivering on that promise 100%. From his title matches against Damien Priest and Bron Breakker to his various appearances across Raw, NXT, and house shows, Rollins isn’t stopping. This isn’t even where it stops. Rollins is already scheduled to take on Finn Balor at Money in the Bank. In addition to that, he is also keen on continuing the open challenge every Raw.
