Seth Rollins emerged victorious at Night of Champions in May 2023, defeating AJ Styles and making his way to becoming WWE Heavyweight Champion. This was the first time the title was brought back since almost a decade. Ever since then, he has successfully defended his title like a true champion.
Rollins has held the title for 7+ months now and his reign is going stronger still. However, it could end very soon as three likely factors could play a major role in him losing his beloved championship, thus ending his glorious run as the World Heavyweight Champ.
1. Seth Rollins has been facing lower back problems for 4+ years

‘The Visionary’ has been dealing with back issues for more than four years now. In 2019, he suffered a couple of lumbar fractures which have made his wrestling journey a bit harder. It has been multiple years, but still; he hasn’t fully recovered from his injury.
He has managed to fight through his pain and not let his opponents take advantage of his back problems despite them trying their best to do so. But for how long? Sooner or later, someone will capitalize on it unless his injury heals, which is not looking very likely to happen soon.
2. CM Punk could end Rollins’ reign
CM Punk is back with WWE and the fans are optimistic that his very first rivalry may be against ‘The Monday Night Messiah’. The two stars have no love lost between them, making them perfect candidates for an epic rivalry. If WWE does proceed with this idea, it is very much possible that Punk may end Rollins’ championship reigns.

He is the odds-on favorite to hold the WHC and the WWE Universe is dying to see him as a champion in WWE once again. He has already enlisted himself in the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match. If he wins, he could easily challenge Rollins for the championship.
3. Damian Priest has his eyes set on the World Heavyweight Championship
Damian Priest won the Money in the Bank contract last year. Since he captured the briefcase, he has been on a hunt to steal Rollins’ championship. Up until now, he has been unsuccessful due to a variety of reasons. But with him lurking around the champ, it’s a matter of time before he cashes in the MITB contract and wins the World Heavyweight Title.
