The Survivor Series is currently the most talked about thing on the planet. While the PLE has everyone thrilled and fulfilled, the same can’t be said for WWE wrestler Drew McIntyre. The Scottish wrestling superstar was seen storming out of the arena after his team lost the high-voltage match against Cody Rhodes and his crew.

Drew McIntyre had surprised the entire WWE Universe when he sided with The Judgment Day just days after spoiling their plans. However, McIntyre’s smile when he shook hands with Rhea Ripley turned to a bitter grimace at the Survivor Series. Why did McIntyre leave the way he did? Here are the three possible factors that could have triggered him.

Drew McIntyre joined the ranks of The Judgment Day after facing a loss against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. This move came completely out of the blue as McIntyre had prevented Damian Priest from cashing in his MITB contract against Rollins not too long ago on an episode of RAW.

It is natural that he expected a great win out of his fresh heel turn. Especially at a stage as grand as Survivor Series, in a non-title match. However, this didn’t happen and his team lost. Thus, it is very much possible that it wasn’t Drew McIntyre, but Andrew McLean Galloway IV who stormed out. There is a distinct possibility that McIntyre’s storm out wasn’t part of the kayfabe, but a genuine reaction to his loss.

This showcases another episode of his frustration with the WWE and his bookings. However, there is a chance that the reason for his heated departure was none other than The Judgment Day.

Damian Priest enraged McIntyre by spoiling his victory plan

McIntyre’s departure is being seen as an aftermath of his defeat. But, chances are that the seed for it was sown during the match itself. While The Judgment Day usually has impeccable teamwork, McIntyre was a new member of the group. Because of this, a miscommunication was caused in between that potentially cost them the match.

It was clearly visible that Drew McIntyre wanted to get into the action, but Damian Priest overtook him and entered the fight before him. While the defeat came several minutes later, it is highly likely that the change in order disrupted the plans McIntyre had to win the match.

While these scenarios point to McIntyre’s unhappiness, it is also possible that this was a part of the script as well. In fact, for all we know, Triple H can easily be the man behind the Scottish wrestler’s dramatic exit.

Today, it is hard to tell whether the person behind an action is the wrestler, or the person playing his part. Something similar can be said about Drew McIntyre right now.

The manner in which McIntyre left was a bit too extreme, even for a wrestler whose contract is about to expire. Possibly, this may be a move orchestrated by Triple H in a bid to revamp The Judgment Day.

In fact, these plans can also include McIntyre returning as the leader of the heel faction. What are your thoughts about this?
