“This Is What They Are Setting Up For..”: Not Seth Rollins but Top WWE Star Tipped to Make the World Heavyweight Championship Stronger Than Roman Reigns’ Belt

At Night of Champions last month, WWE superstar Seth Rollins created history and became the new WWE world heavyweight champion. The moment he won the title, the talks about a winner takes all match at WrestleMania 40 began. Fans are wondering if they will see The Shield brothers against each other once again.

WWE Universe believes that it will make the new championship look as strong than Roman Reigns‘ UndisputedUniversal title. However, according to a WWE Hall of Famer, this may not be what WWE is actually setting for WrestleMania 40. Instead, he named another top superstar who could do this work better than Seth Rollins.

The former WWE superstar favored a top star over Seth Rollins

In the recent episode of the podcast ‘Busted Open’, the former WWE superstar Bully Ray appeared as a special guest. There, he opened up about his views on the new world heavyweight championship and dethroning Roman Reigns.

According to Ray, it is not Seth Rollins who will make the world championship look stronger, in fact, it is Cody Rhodes.

The former WWE superstar thinks that the creative is setting everything up for Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for a winner takes all match at WrestleMania 40, in which Rhodes will emerge victorious and will finally dethrone Reigns.

Favoring Cody Rhodes over Seth Rollins, Bully Ray said, “The time we get to WrestleMania next year, hopefully, those championships ….. come together…… Whereas let’s say Cody were to win Seth’s championship and Roman goes into Mania with his championship. And, they both put their championships on the line and Cody walks out of WrestleMania with all the championships….. I think this is what they (WWE)  are setting up for.”

This is not the first time when a wrestling star has favored Rhodes over any other WWE superstar to win the world heavyweight championship. Several stars have also expressed their wish to see the ‘American Nightmare’ as a world champion.

The former AEW star wants Cody Rhodes to win the world championship

Even before Seth Rollins claimed the world heavyweight championship at Night of Champions, the former AEW star Big Swole expressed her wish to see Rhodes as a champion.

Swole believed that Rhodes could have been the perfect first-ever champion to hold the world heavyweight title as he is getting huge support from the crowd. However, nothing like that happened and Seth Rollins became the first-ever title holder.

Recently, Seth Rollins defended his championship against Damian Priest on this week’s Monday Night Raw. Even though there are no signs of Seth Rollins vs Cody Rhodes in the upcoming PLEs, with all the hype going around Rhodes winning the title and Rollins possibly being occupied with Hollywood commitments, it won’t be a surprise if WWE soon books them against each other.
