‘This Is Not Some Kiddy Pool In Rio’: Dwayne Johnson Once Slapped Michael Phelps With His Own Success Despite Olympic Legend’s Rio Olympics Tally of 5 Gold and 1 Silver Medal

Dwayne Johnson has established himself as one of the biggest names in the world thanks to his work in wrestling and films. Being an actor, he has to appear in several film promotion videos. He joined in to work alongside one of the most celebrated Olympians in history, Michael Phelps, during a Baywatch movie promotion.

Every sports fan is aware of Phelps’ unparalleled dominance in the Olympic pool. Flying Fish has won 28 Olympic medals in his career. However, The Rock put Phelps, the greatest swimmer of all time, through some rigorous training to become a lifeguard.

When Michael Phelps entered, he goes on to say, “I want in on Baywatch.” The Rock replied, “No no no no this is not some this is not some kiddy pool in Rio Mike, this is the beach, and you got to earn this.”

Despite his Olympic medals, The Rock disallowed him from joining the team. He also put Phelps through a training exercise. There are many exercises included in the training, such as breathing resistance and Orca CPR. The funniest part of the performance was when The Great One pointed at a swimming chart and Michael Phelps pointed at his chest-mounted Olympic medals.

He receives the famous red Baywatch red shorts from The Rock as a reward after his training got complete. In the surprise conclusion, the cast members Kelly Rohrbach, Alexandra Daddario, and others can be seen running with Phelps.
