Drew McIntyre was asked if he had any stories of The Undertaker that he could share with everyone. McIntyre, without thinking much, said, “Well, I tried to give ya’ll the best ones since I was at the WWE Archive warehouse. Thank you for watching that for one.”

He said, “Hopefully The Undertaker is okay with me doing impressions of him (laughs). I don’t think everyone knows, but Drew does impressions as well.” McIntyre continued, “But yeah, my favorite interactions with him was just being a kid, just not quite understanding the lessons he was trying to teach me.”

“I wish I could go back in a time machine and just listen to those conversations when he was trying to, you know, help me out,” he said. “He was speaking at such a high wrestling IQ that wasn’t quite following him. And some of the funniest things he’s said like ‘I’ve got more hair on my ass than you’ve got on your face’ when I tried to come up with a beard for the first time,” continued McIntyre.

“One of the bigger things, like observing him, was a big thing for me. Just watching the person he was, how much respect he had in the locker room.”

The WWE Champion continued, “Like I’ve seen him and I can talk about this cause it’s in The Last Ride and it’s not a secret anymore, I’ve seen in how much pain he was in and he would not show it to anybody unless I caught him. I could observe he was in lot physical pain, but he was such a proud man.”

McIntyre talks about The Undertaker’s dedication

The WWE Champion also spoke about how The Undertaker always lead with an example and how he was always on toes to go out and perform at the highest level every night.

“And at the time it was Raw vs SmackDown, still is. But at the time, on the European tours, he was very proud that SmackDown would draw higher numbers than Raw. During international tours, he kinda led by example, fight through every night no matter what pain he was in and I caught him a few times actually struggling backstage.

“But when he was in front of that crowd, you would never know, he was flying around the ring like a cruiserweight, giving everything he had, a 110 percent every night. That’s not TV, this is like the house shows. This is the non-televised stuff, and I saw that kinda work ethic. No matter what condition he was in, I saw ‘alright this is. The guy right here, this is somebody who loves this industry and someone I want to be like.”
