“This is Nasty”: Fans Feel ‘Disrespected’ After Ronda Rousey’s Recent ‘Heel’ Work at Live Event

Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest stars in WWE right now. Ever since her debut, she has continued to improve and prove to everyone that she belongs inside the squared circle. And it seems now Ronda Rousey is embracing her role as a heel in WWE. After defeating Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s title at Extreme Rules, ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ had a clear message for the WWE Universe saying she owes them nothing. That was classic heel work by Rousey and she took it up a notch at a recent WWE Live Event.

Fans have remained divided on Rousey’s run in WWE. Although the crowd gets behind her at times, they do favor more WWE-established wrestlers over her on other occasions. Many believe she fits perfectly as a heel due to her natural persona and demeanor and the company seems to be finally letting her go freely in that direction.

Rousey defended her title against Liv Morgan at a live event and after the win, she confronted a fan with a “Watch Me”, Liv Morgan poster and tore it apart. However, this latest heel act didn’t go down well with some of the fans.

Heel Ronda Rousey got the fans talking

Although WWE has dabbled with presenting Ronda Rousey as a heel before, they have mostly held back. Given that the former UFC Champion is a global star, they may want to book her as a babyface. But considering how the fans have reacted to her face run, things are slowly changing.

After her interview on SmackDown where she said the fans didn’t appreciate her, Rousey is moving towards being a proper heel. She faced Liv Morgan at the Saturday Night’s Main Event house show in Dayton, Ohio, and beat her rival. Afterward, she took ‘Watch Me’ poster, which Liv’s catchphrase, held by a fan, and tore it into two pieces.

This was a way to further cement her status as a heel, but some fans had a different opinion. Many thought she was trying too hard to be a heel.

Despite pulling off a classic heel move, it seems it didn’t impress the fans entirely, who took to Twitter to speak about Ronda Rousey ripping off a fan’s poster.

Some fans also thought this wasn’t in the best of taste.

A few fans weren’t convinced of her heel persona.

A fan even compared this to Sasha Banks’ heel work in NXT.

WWE again finds itself in a tough spot with Ronda Rousey. As with many things WWE does with Ronda, the fans seem to be unconvinced so far about her heel turn.
