The wrestling world was shocked to learn about the recent tragic news surrounding Kevin Nash. The former WWE superstar lost his son Tristen last week. Tristen had also recently joined his dad for his podcast. Nash has thanked the wrestling community for their unwavering love and support at this difficult moment. 

Speaking at his podcast Kliq This, Nash displayed tremendous courage in discussing the circumstances around his son’s untimely passing. He also shared the support that he received from his former colleagues. Big Daddy Cool, as he is fondly known by fans, revealed that he also received a heartwarming message from the former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

On the podcast, a teary-eyed Nash said, “That’s the whole thing. I apologize if I haven’t got back to you. When you open your phone and there are 234 messages where do you start? A lot of them are people who I’ve lost their numbers.” 

Nash further added “I got a message and it was a Connecticut number. I thought it was somebody in the office. I started to read it and it was Vince {McMahon}. It said, this is my new number. If you need me, I’m here.”

Kevin Nash had two stints with WWE, in the 90s and in the early 2000s. His first spell with the promotion was particularly fruitful as he won the then WWF Championship and Intercontinental championship. Nash used the Diesel persona during his initial run with the promotion and had lots of iconic moments.

Although Vince McMahon portrayed a tough on-screen persona during his WWE days, he is known to have a softer side offscreen. Kevin Nash enjoyed the most memorable moments of his WWE career under McMahon. The two might have had ups and downs in their professional relations, but there’s a lot of respect between the two on the personal front.

The fact that Vince McMahon reached out to his old friend at this difficult moment showcases the unbreakable bond the two share. Nash is dealing with a huge loss in his personal life and it would be somewhat comforting for him to know that he isn’t alone. The whole wrestling community has come together to shower their support for their beloved Kevin Nash in these tough times.
