LA Knight is undeniably one of the fan favorites on SmackDown. Although Knight is essentially a heel, fans have taken a shine to him. Pretty much everybody wants to see LA Knight receive the push that has been long overdue. And, given the current state of affairs in WWE, it appears that his push will be delayed.

Initially, Knight was rumored to receive a career boost at Money in the Bank. But Damien Priest ended up winning the coveted briefcase. With each passing week, LA Knights fans go back home disappointed after the show. Nonetheless, a recent report indicates that Triple H will take some time to elevate LA Knight’s WWE career.

On the latest edition of SmackDown, LA Knight competed in a fatal four-way match against Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, and Cameron Grimes. The winner would move ahead to face Santos Escobar, who won the fatal four-way last week. And ultimately, the final winner of the singles match would challenge Austin Theory for The United States Championship.

Knight landed his signature elbow on Grimes in the final moments of the match, only to be Brogue kicked by Sheamus the next moment. Grimes recovered and took out Sheamus before Rey Mysterio picked up the win with a hurricanrana pin on Grimes.

Mysterio will face his friend Santos Escobar next week in a bid to become the No. 1 contender for The United States Championship. Although Mysterio’s win was well-received by fans, Knight’s supporters were disappointed. According to Xero News via BWE, Knight’s push will start after SummerSlam. Multiple wrestling dirt sheets have also revealed that Santos Escobar is next in line to receive a push. The report read, “LA Knights new push starts after Summerslam.”

Nevertheless, LA Knight’s supporters will seemingly have to wait until after SummerSlam to see their favorite star’s success in the upper middle card division. While there are fans who are amazed by Knight’s charisma, a certain WWE legend recently stated that he is a ripoff of The Rock

Despite losing the match, LA Knight’s popularity will almost certainly not go unnoticed by WWE. It remains to be seen when Knight will finally hold his first singles championship on the main roster.

Sheamus takes a dig at LA Knight’s fans after the show

Sheamus has been in WWE for more than a decade. The former World Champion has enjoyed a successful run as a heel and a babyface. Currently, the Celtic Warrior is a babyface. In fact, all three competitors except LA Knight were babyfaces in the fatal four-way match.
