Grayson Waller is one wrestler who generates the most spectacle and controversy whenever he speaks. His loud mouth recently led to cracks being visible in the bond between him and his tag partner, Austin Theory.
The two won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40 and have been feuding with DIY in a bid to defend their titles. However, according to several reports, there is the possibility that the WWE is planning to break the team and have the two feud against one another. But it seems like those words have reached Waller’s ears, as he recently took to social media to defend his love for his tag partner.

In his latest post on X, Waller shared a picture of himself with Austin Theory while Johnny Gargano dives on them from inside the ring. A scene where Theory saves Waller. But it was the caption of the post that held the most significance. Waller defended his tag team partner by writing about how the two superstars are willing to take shots to save each other. Especially Austin Theory. He wrote, “A lot of people don’t understand a whatever it takes attitude, and that’s why they’re losers. @_Theory1 is a real one- real mates are willing to take one for the team”

Well, everything seems to indicate that these are just empty words. All because, in the last few hours, it has been known that Triple H, WWE’s creative director, has in mind the idea of separating Waller and Theory as a team and creating a rivalry between them. And as per Wrestling Observer Radio, they’re paving the way for a break with Theory as the babyface. But is Waller actually speaking the truth in the tweet? Or is there more than meets the eye? Well, of course, there is. Because the said, “take one for the team” doesn’t sit well when you manipulate the other to take the hit. Something that surely has frustrated Austin Theory.

Following Grayson Waller’s win over Gargano on SmackDown, it wasn’t surprising to see Austin Theory being pissed at his teammate. The ending sequence saw the tag champions outside the ring when Gargano decided to fly out towards Waller. However, Waller used his partner to gain an advantage. The superstar evaded the attack and cunningly maneuvered Theory into the path. Making the superstar crash into the commentary table. The WWE soon shared a video on their social media where the two tag partners could be seen following the match.
A scene where Waller celebrated his win while Theory followed, visibly frustrated. The man surely must be thinking of his downfall that while he once defeated John Cena, now he is being manipulated to take the hit for the man who believes that he is the one who made Austin Theory the star that he is. So no matter what Waller says, it sure feels like the team could face their demise soon. But when and how? That is the real question. What do you think? Should the WWE break them up? Let us know in the comments.
