“They’re Gonna Remember You With a Tear in Their Eye”: Becky Lynch Shoots on WWE Legend Ric Flair During Contract Signing Against Lita on Raw

Becky Lynch, who returned to WWE after taking time off to have a baby, is on fire with her latest championship run. She has delivered great storylines and incredible matches since her return. ‘Big Time Becks’ entered a feud with the returning Lita and accepted her challenge for a Raw Women’s Championship match.

Days ahead of their match at Elimination Chamber, the duo met in a contract signing segment. This signing followed their brief bout on last week’s Raw. Lita had the upper hand last week, and Becky was clearly disappointed. Lynch looked absolutely distraught this week as she walked to the ring.

Lynch said that she does not want this match and took a few shots at the WWE Universe for goading the duo to fight each other. Becky then warned Lita that she will end up spoiling Lita’s legacy, and she does not want to do that.

Lita gave a fitting reply to Becky’s smug remarks, as she reassured Becky that she is here for a championship-worthy long run. She further told Becky that she can beat her in a match and the proof was their confrontation on last week’s Raw.

Becky said that she studied Lita’s career and knows what she is doing. Lynch warned everyone she will “quash” Lita’s memory and legacy amongst the fans. The Raw Women’s Champion showed once again how good she is at cutting promos as she took an obvious shot at ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair.

She told Lita that after Elimination Chamber, people will no longer remember her fondly. Becky said, “They’re gonna remember you with a tear in their eye.”

This was an obvious shot at Ric flair’s infamous promo after his 1992 Royal Rumble victory. A promo that became a classic and elevated Flair to another level of stardom.

‘The Nature Boy’ and Becky made rounds for taking shots at each other. Flair criticized Becky for her performance and implied that she does not live up to the hype. ‘Big Time Becks’ did not back off and took a shot at Flair. While Flair deleted his tweet, Becky has still kept hers.

Things turned sour between the two since Becky Lynch started referring to herself as ‘The Man,’ which is a moniker that Ric Flair carried for decades. Therefore, ‘Nature Boy’ feels Becky Lynch is only milking the success of his moniker and not bringing anything original to the table.

Becky Lynch is one of the greatest wrestlers of her generation, and she remains to be one of the most popular stars in WWE. Will she still be Raw Women’s Champion after Elimination Chamber? Only time will tell.
