In a recent interview on The Busted Open Podcast, tag wrestling icon Bully Ray examined fan reactions and the causes behind their mounting frustration. He shed light on the notion that Reigns continues to be a dominant force in WWE. Ray also went on with how the fans have been yearning for a break from the usual script that accompanies the “Tribal Chief’s” matches.

Bully Ray pointed out, “People would stop complaining if crown jewel would have been a different style of Roman match, Maybe a better style of Roman match, something different than the cookie-cutter Roman match. It’s as if people will sit back and go okay, I’ll buy into all of the things that you’re telling us about Roman.”

This frustration stems from fans’ desire for different moves that stand out from the routine interference-laden finishes. While Roman Reigns’ calculated approach has proven effective, it appears the fans yearn for a change of pace.

He further went on to say, “I think now people are becoming p***ed about this it’s as they wanted something different at Crown Jewel because they got a baby face that they’re so into we don’t just want to see the typical Roman match with the interference.”

Social media buzzed with fans echoing a common sentiment: the match felt repetitive and failed to deliver the anticipated freshness. WWE fans expressed frustration not only with Roman Reigns’ frequent appearances but also with the repetitive nature of his matches.
