“They Saved Us”: Fans Congratulate Alexa Bliss and Asuka for Their Title Triumph on WWE Raw

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was introduced as a direct competitor to the Men’s Tag Team Championship, and to put both the male and female rosters on an equal status. However, unlike their male counterpart, the Women’s Tag Team Championship is defended in both blue and red brands.

The inaugural champions were Sasha Banks and Bayley, who then went by the name, ‘The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection’. The duo won the championship at the Elimination Chamber 2019. Since then, the championship has seen several reigns and numerous champions.

On the same path, the Halloween edition of Monday Night Raw saw another team come out victorious in the championship match. Alexa Bliss and Asuka defeated the former champions, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, to win the titles.

The match went extremely well, and fans erupted from their seats as the duo earned the titles. This win made it the 3rd reign for both Alexa Bliss and Asuka, and it was the first time the tag team won it together. The match also saw interruptions from Bayley, however, she was handled by Bianca Belair.

As Belair took care of Bayley, Bliss landed the Twisted Bliss on Kai, and pinned her to take home the victory. The feud between Damage CTRL and the trio of Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss has been going well. And it is now to be seen which way it heads.

Both Asuka and Bliss are on their third reign of the title and are in red hot form. The duo managed to secure their spot after demanding a title shot during the opening segments of the show. Later, they were granted the shot, and the rest is history.

Fans on Twitter went crazy as both the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion secured the tag titles.

Some fans also appreciated the story-telling of how Asuka and Bliss went from arch-rivals to being the tag-team champions together.

Bliss and Asuka had faced each other several times in singles matches as well as during their tag-team feud. While Bliss was with Nikki Cross then, Asuka and Kairi Sane were the champions. However, in spite of their long history, the duo has come together.

The title change came out of nowhere, and fans are now guessing if Bayley would defeat Belair or not. However, defeating Belair will not hurt her momentum but instead give a boost to Bayley, which she needs.
