Some WWE stars love to make fans all over the world mad. Few people get as much dislike from fans every day as Dominik Mysterio does. “Those boos are 100% real,” said the former NXT North American Champion, in a recent interview. With a heel turn as drastic as his, Mysterio has been able to handle the fan’s reactions incredibly well for a young up-and-coming wrestler. So whats his secret?
Dominik Mysterio dismisses claims of WWE piping in boos from the live audience
When WWE wants to get the crowd excited or start a song, they have in the past piped in crowd replies. Those tricks aren’t necessary when it comes to Mysterio, as fans always seem to be enraged when Mysterio has his fair share of screen time.

Dirty Dom recently went on a podcast, where he talked about how the WWE Universe boos him. According to the younger Mysterio, they didn’t need to pipe those boos in because the second-generation Superstar has proven to have a very hated gimmick. “They like it when I do that when I go out and try to cut a promo, especially if they need to cut time out of something or they need to save time, I can go out there with a mic for two to three minutes, pretend to cut a promo. I’m still blessed to get booed. I can’t tell you, every city I go out to, it gets louder and louder,” Mysterio said on K100 with Konnan. When he was asked if the boos are piped in, Dirty Dom replied, “No, it’s not piped.“
Some people think that WWE may lower Dom’s microphone to have fans boo louder. But it looks like that might not be true either; at least Mysterio isn’t confessing to any of those plans. With a big match coming up soon, those boos are just what Mysterio needs to get the crowd pumped.
What will Dominik Mysterio do next?
The Judgment Day—Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh—will battle DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano), The Miz, and R-Truth on WWE RAW on Monday.

At the Elimination Chamber show in Perth, Australia, he was set to fight Brock Lesnar. Due to Lesnar’s absence from WWE and his association with the lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, Dom Dom’s bout will not happen.
However, hopefully this is sorted out. With Mysterio being pushed as a huge up-and-coming heel, he may be up for a singles title bout soon. Dominik has only won one WWE title so far: the SmackDown Tag Team Championship with his father, Rey Mysterio.
