One fan openly mocked WWE and stated they removed over 120 superstars over 2 years because of the budgets cuts, which was a lie because they were always profitable.
WWE reports $1.095 billion in revenue for full year 2021, the highest in the Company’s history !

Fans are re-tweeting their previous tweets from 2021, and 2020 just to show that they were right and WWE is just getting rid of the superstars because they simply can.
I’m usually all for a bit of shithousery, if done for a wind-up
But a sports company announcing $250m revenue for a quarter and staggering profits, then firing a chunk of its talent roster for “budget cuts” 2 hours later is the wrong kind of shithousery 😟 #WWE

A fan spoke out against WWE for singing a billion-dollar deal with NBC Universal, only to fire a few more superstars in the name of ‘budget cuts.’
Imagine earning $974.2 million in revenue in 2020 (Headline: WWE Reports **Record 2020 Results**) signing a $1 billion dollar content deal with NBC Universal, then turning around firing people and citing “budget cuts”. Basura. Hot, flaming basura. https://t.co/tfiz9aWRV7

In the wake of this recent budget news and the firing of Shane McMahon, a fan wrote that Shane and Triple H (Paul Levesque) should buy a smaller wrestling promotion. Meanwhile, Tony Khan’s AEW will eventually run WWE out of business according to the fan.
When will Shane & Paul buy a smaller promotion? They could do it. That and AEW would run over WWE eventually.

And the 2021 WWE Revenue numbers that just came out. Their largest year ever. Not too shabby for a company that is supposedly failing.
