The Undertaker has been an iconic figure of the WWE for the last three decades. He is respected for maintaining kayfabe to keep his mythical status alive.

An example of this would be the Deadman’s slow entrance to the ring. He entered with eerie music while smoke and dark blue lights filled the arena. Everyone got chills from it, but no one knew the meaning behind his mysterious entry.

The Undertaker recently spilled the beans on the matter. He appeared on the “Pardon My Take” podcast to answer a variety of questions, but his revelation of the entrance is what stood out the most. Taker said:

“A lot of times that would just depend on my opponent, okay, Like, if I was working with somebody that was pretty limited or I thought I was gonna have just a real sh**ty match with, I was like, Man, Imma get my money’s worth out of this entrance. There were times I would take a little bit of extra time cause I knew the match is gonna be horrible, so I figured I might as well give it to them on the entrance, cause they are gonna be disappointed when the bell rings.”

The Phenom has given the fans some cool entrances during his time in the company. At WrestleMania IX he came on a chariot with Paul Bearer according to the Roman theme of the show. He even paid homage to Batman at Survivor Series 1996. The Phenom just like the knight of Gotham came from the air to the ring with his bat wings.

Then in the early 2000s the Deadman became the American Badass. He started using a new theme and made his entrances on classic American bikes. The highlight of his entrances as the American Badass came at WrestleMania XIX. There was a live performance of his entrance song with cheerleaders in the ring. As he came with his Harley Davidson and the American flag, all the four directions of the arena were lit by pyros.

His recent entrances with the Phenom gimmick is what the fans adore the most. At WrestleMania 25 his entrance made him look like the ‘anti-hero’ legend while his entrance at WrestleMania 29 entrance had us look at him as a dark messiah who will rip his opponent into pieces.

The Phenom has recently signed a 15 year deal with the company. It is clear that he has been affected by old age however, this does not mean that his entrance quality would drop. It would be interesting to see the work he and WWE do with the entrances in the years to come.
