The main event of the WWE Money in the Bank 2021 lived up to its hype. The main event featured Roman Reigns and Edge fighting it out for the WWE Universal Championship. The champion, Roman, won the match with the help of interference created by his Shield buddy Seth Rollins. Roman, who picked up the win, took the microphone to establish that his dominance in the SmackDown needs to be acknowledged.

Just when everyone thought that the show was winding up with Reigns bragging about his victory, a familiar theme song started playing. It was the 16 time WWE Champion, John Cena, who confronted Roman Reigns in his swagger. The leader of Cenation was pumped up to be back on WWE, and so was the crowd in the arena to see Cena back on the blue brand.

Roman Reigns reacts to the ending of the Money in the Bank PPV

Roman Reigns had a nerve-racking match with Edge in the main event of the Money in the Bank PPV. There were instances where the crowd thought Roman would fall. But the head of the table kept his cool and with the helping hand in the form of Seth Rollins, Reigns defeat Edge.

Roman, after the match, wanted the audience present in the arena to acknowledge him. Instead, the Tribal Chief got interrupted by John Cena. Reigns tweeted his thoughts about the Money in the Bank PPV after the show on his official Twitter handle.

Roman, who was undoubtedly shocked to see the 16 times WWE Champion return, tweeted that the return of Cena will end in him acknowledging the Tribal Chief. Reigns added-“The only two constants in the WWE is that they all come back, and they all acknowledge me. Nothing’s different.”

Cena VS Reigns at SummerSlam 2021

The return of John Cena was doing the rounds for months now, and many reports suggested he will lock horns with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2021. Now that the WWE Universe has witnessed the much-awaited return of John Cena, they are getting ready for one heck of a ride which is certain to find its climax at the SummerSlam PPV. John Cena VS Roman Reigns battling it out for one of the biggest titles in the WWE is bound to bring in the cash for Vince McMahon.

Last time when these two stalwarts faced, Roman had the edge over Cena as he defeated him at the No Mercy 2017 PPV. The build-up to that match gained enormous interest and had one of the most iconic promos in WWE history. Roman has come a long way from that match and has now turned into a different breed under the council of Paul Heyman. The current Universal Champion has got what it takes to match Cena in every aspect, especially in Promo skills. Therefore, the coming weeks of SmackDown is certainly going to catch a lot of eyeballs than usual.
