Donald Trump has been directly involved with WWE for a long time. Sharing close bonds with various WWE entities, he has even appeared in multiple WWE events. Wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, Jerry Lawler, and Bill Goldberg also share a close relationship with Trump.
However, the former CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon, and The Donald are known to be good friends. Trump was even inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2013 by none other than Mr. McMahon.

On the official YouTube Channel of Jim Cornette, Cornette himself revealed a story about Trump and Vince McMahon. The story revolved around Vince McMahon and Donald Trump on an airplane. Cornette revealed that although he was not present during the incident, he had heard it from a source.
The 60-year-old shared an anecdote from around the 2000s when WWE went public and they had all the money. McMahon used to fly in charter planes during that time. When traveling in groups, he flew commercial, even though it was first-class. As per Cornette, a person on the plane told him the story, and no, it was not Bruce Prichard.
People with charter planes had to board their planes from a different area at the airport. Similarly, McMahon was sitting on his charter plane in that different section of the airport. There was a delay, which led Vince McMahon to wait. Several people were standing out of the plane and it did not have any jetway to enter. Instead, it had steps for entering.
In Jim Cornette’s words, “So there’s a bunch of people standing around Vince’s big WWE plane and they’re waiting to get on and they’re f**king d***ing around and all of a sudden they look out the window and guess who the plane on the other side of him is? Donald Trump with a bigger f**king plane. Trump visited before he was President, obviously. Trump pulls up at a bigger f**king plane. And Vince looks over and sees him. And they actually see Trump looking out the window waving.”
Cornette then continued, saying that Trump then used his pilot to send Vince McMahon a message. Trump told McMahon, “‘Hey Vince, if you don’t have enough room for all those people on your plane, we got plenty of room over here.’ And f**king Vince got hot. His plane was bigger than Vince’s plane.”
While Trump and McMahon are both successful businessmen, Trump is obviously richer than McMahon, and him having a bigger plane than McMahon was justified also since WWE had just gotten public at that time.

Further in the podcast, Cornette compared Vince McMahon and Donald Trump. He stated that both these businessmen are very similar. “I’ve said this a million times. Vince and Trump are so much alike. If Donald Trump was articulate and could be charming in any situation, and was halfway intelligent, he’d be Vince.”
He also justified his statement. Cornette claimed that Trump and Vince McMahon are very much alike as they both put their business ahead of anything else, and added that Trump is a “complete unsavory piece of pig sh*t”.
