Over the years Becky Lynch earned the reputation of being a no nonsense ‘lass-kicker’ and earned the moniker of ‘The Man’. She went from being an underutilised talent to headlining WrestleMania, a feat no one saw her accomplishing.

But when we think of Lynch’s debut, we often think of the night the Women’s Evolution began. Well, Lynch’s career began in NXT and it began in the most atrocious manner possible. Stuck in a stereotypical Irish gimmick, Lynch Irish jig danced her way to the ring, while Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair mocked her at ringside.

She faced Summer Rae in her debut match and put on an impressive display. She then faced the likes of Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and even teamed with Bayley, before turning heel and attacking her. Her heel turn led to her rise to the top of NXT, and she soon challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship.

When Lynch debuted on the main roster, she was the least popular member of the Four Horsewomen, but her rise to the top took a lot of hard work. From winning the SmackDown Women’s Title in 2016 to headlining WrestleMania in 2019, Lynch has come a long way. Having given birth to a baby girl in December, and her return can come anytime soon.

When she returns, inevitably, Lynch is going to rise to the top of the women’s division. Both Belair and Ripley will clutch their titles a little closer once The Man walks through the door once again. But when is the right time for her to come back?
