Among these people, 20+ are wrestlers, Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, and Emma to name a few. The numbers may increase more in the upcoming days. That said, being a former pro wrestler himself, Dwayne Johnson reacted to WWE releasing its stars.

Going to his official X account, Johnson stated that he feels devastated seeing the Stamford-based promotion releasing its wrestling talents. He sympathized with the released wrestler, saying that he understands how tough it might be for them to get laid off from the promotion.

Singling out Dolph Ziggler in particular, he expressed his admiration for the 2x World Heavyweight champion. He praised Ziggler and gave him hope for a better future. In the end, he stated that he was eager to see how would Ziggler utilize all his talent and skill in the pro wrestling industry.

This is not the only big change WWE has introduced after its merger with UFC.

According to CNBC and The Wall Street Journal, the deal is worth $1.435 billion over five years, an average of $287 million per year.

This is just the beginning. With now Endeavour holding the majority reins of WWE, more changes are for sure to come. We don’t know what these changes might be, but we do hope that no more WWE stars get released from the company.
