Wrestlemania 36 saw a certain Dead Man rising up from his grave once again. As has become the norm, the Undertaker came back during the Wrestlemania season to hunt for another soul.
This time, his target was the phenomenal one AJ Styles. The two had an intense rivalry which culminated at a Boneyard match on the grandest stage of them all. The Undertaker expectedly won the match by choke slamming styles off a barn.
He would bury him six feet under to end the cinematic match. Nevertheless, Styles received a much-needed rub from the Dead Man. AJ talked to Corey Graves on the After The Bell podcast about the experience of wrestling against The Undertaker.

AJ Styles wants another match against The Undertaker
As crazy as that sounds, AJ is actually rooting for a rematch with the Undertaker. Chances are bleak as you rarely see the Dead Man appear during the non-Wrestlemania season.
“The match that I want to have The Undertaker if there’s still an opportunity to have another one, is for everybody, fans just going nuts.”
AJ then talked about the uncertainty that surrounded the match. It was certainly difficult to predict how fans would react to the overdramatization.
“Not only did I have the opportunity to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania but we were set up to do something different and that different could be good, could be bad. We’re going to find out. It was fun while we were doing it, but I’m still like, ‘oh man, I only hope this works,’ because I’m not sure how people are going to feel about these cinematic matches. The New Day and the Wyatt Family had done one, and I loved it. I thought it was cool. Everything about it was cool, but I didn’t hear a ton about it after it was done, whether it was liked or hated. So I didn’t know what to expect from me and Undertaker and this Boneyard Match.”

Further, there was a lot of confusion about the direction that the match should take. It could of course go to any lengths.

“So many people on my stream on Mixer, we were doing this and they were like, ‘hey, what’s that Boneyard Match?’ I go listen, I got it. It’s whatever you think a Boneyard Match and it’s exactly what it is. That’s the way I left it. Whatever you think it is is exactly what it is. That way most of the ideas that they had were pretty much true.”
Whatever be the case, the match finished with positive reviews. A 55-year-old Undertaker was carried to a good match by AJ Styles. That just spoke volumes about the level of talent that this man has.
