WWE wasn’t fully acquired by Endeavor until recently. Ever since the pro wrestling promotion merged with the UFC, there have been multiple changes. Some fans have found it confusing to catch up with them. If you’re among the ones who also fear the recent changes, then there is more news that you need to look out for. Although nothing is yet confirmed, this change could prove huge in terms of the promotion’s viewership.

In a recent business conference, Ari Emanuel didn’t shy away from introducing a change that he could bring to WWE. This change would mean that he would have to alter a tradition that Vince McMahon set up long ago.

Monday Night Raw has been airing since 11th January 1993, while Friday Night SmackDown has been around since April 29, 1999. However, this tradition that McMahon set up so many decades ago could now be coming to an end. Endeavor’s CEO took the liberty to represent TKO in front of the world at the Bloomberg Screentime Conference. During the conference, he also spoke about an upcoming probable change in the Stamford-based company.

During the conference, Emanuel said, “We’re 52 weeks a year, right? And we’re flexible. You want us Thursday night? You want us Tuesday night? I don’t have any of those scheduling issues — I would say to you there’s plenty of interest in Raw, right now.

Although he didn’t mention to what day he is trying to shift the weekly shows, we can assume that Raw might be shifted to Tuesday night while SmackDown could find its place to air on Thursday.

Even before this announcement, WWE had already changed the schedule for one of its weekly shows, which would prove to be an obstacle in their plans for changing the red brand’s airing day.

AEW announced that they will be changing ‘Dynamite’ over to Tuesdays. So, to not let their competitors thrive, and to dominate them, the Stamford-based company also changed the schedule for NXT. Since shifting the red brand would’ve been a big decision, they shifted their developmental brand instead. And now, NXT will air on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays.

This decision also proved fruitful for the promotion. But now, if Emanuel was to shift the red brand, they would either have to move NXT’s schedule again or choose a new day for Monday Night Raw further down in the week.

So far, this decision seems unlikely to happen because of the circumstances. Do you think TKO will soon alter WWE’s old schedule?
