A rivalry that has seen all the comics ages from the Golden, Silver, and Bronze to the Modern ages, Marvel and DC have seen it all. The movies are just another page to the fierce competition that leaves the fans the winner, as excellent media is born out of competition. But Johnson has finally addressed this rivalry and which side he will take moving forward.
Dwayne Johnson explains his stance in the DCEU and MCU war
On the red carpet of his new movie, Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson was asked about the war brewing between DC and Marvel. He replied, “The answer’s no, we’re not going to do that and there is no war between DC and MCU. That’s my opinion. Now that we have laid the groundwork for Black Adam for the JSA as we usher in a new era of the DC Universe, build out the DC Universe. I don’t think there’s a war because there’s only one Marvel.”

“There will always be only one Marvel, and I mean that respectfully. Kevin Feige, I love him. He’s a buddy and a lot of those guys. All those superheroes are my friends. There’s only one Marvel, there’s only one Avengers, but also there’s only one DC. There’s only one Black Adam and there’s only one Justice League and there’s only one JSA. So I wanna continue building out the DC world. I don’t want to be like Marvel and I mean that respectfully. I want to be DC.”
