AEW star Matt Hardy who has been a part of the business for a long time knows a thing or two about building up a massive encounter. He recently revealed in his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast that he loved The American Nightmare and Reigns’ verbal battle on the flagship show
The former WWE tag team champion said, “I got to watch back this morning, was doing cardio the Cody and Roman promo which I liked a whole lot and I loved the fact that Roman in a roundabout way mentioned AEW, talked about Cody leaving WWE starting the company going there.“
“And the story was great and I thought Cody’s mental gymnastics towards him trying to play mind games with him was done really well also, and I think there’s been great hype for this match,” added Matt Hardy.
Every time The Tribal Chief and Rhodes step into the ring the spectators can be assured of a masterclass on the mic. It has the feel of an unstoppable force coming against an immovable object. And the audience is hooked, and judging by his remarks, Hardy is too.
The WWE also deserves great plaudits for hyping up the rivalry by having minimal exchanges between the champion and the challenger.

The immaculate use of ‘Special Counsel’ Paul Heyman in badmouthing Rhodes has been great. Whenever Reigns is not around the ‘Wise Man’ is more than capable to do the heavy loading.
