After weeks of prayers and anticipation, the WWE Universe finally got to see CM Punk in WWE. It was a surreal moment with left many jaws open at the All-State Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Everyone hoped for his return, but nobody knew whether he would or wouldn’t. Or did someone already know about his appearance?
Apparently, WWE knew all along that Punk would be present at the Survivor Series WarGames. The promotion just kept it a secret to keep the fans on edge throughout the entire show. WWE legend, Hurricane Helms revealed interesting news that proves that WWE had already planned Punk’s return.
CM Punk’s return was not abrupt but wisely planned

Upon Punk’s return, WWE posted a tweet acting all surprised at the former AEW star’s arrival, as if they didn’t know about his appearance at the event. ‘The Second City Saint’ has appeared on WWE shows before, where he showed up without any prior notice. But Hurricane Helms’s recent tweet reveals WWE knew about Punk’s appearance.

In his tweet, he disclosed that the Gorilla Position had chairs. This means WWE was all prepared for Punk’s return. Although not all people in the WWE knew about this. Only a few people were intimated about his arrival.
Triple H knew about Punk’s return at Survivor Series WarGames
Apparently, Punk’s comeback was a well-kept secret not only from the fans but also from many members of the WWE. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, one of the only few people who knew about Punk’s comeback at Survivor Series WarGames was Triple H.
Last week, ‘The Best in the World’ had an hour-long conversation with the WWE Content Head about his return. WWE staff, reps, and creative had no idea whatsoever. Who else besides ‘HHH’ knew about this plan is still a mystery.

But judging by Hurricane Helms’ statement, ‘Hunter’ had intimidated a few people on his team about the plan. Those who knew arranged and cleared a designated area for the former AEW star to proceed through the rear entrance in plain view mere minutes before his arrival.
