Dwayne Johnson has spoken up about how his upbringing molded him into the guy he is today. For many people, their parents are their teachers, and The Rock was no exception. Rocky Johnson, DJ’s father, was one of the teachers who helped him keep it consistent with being the hardest worker in the room and going to the gym on a daily basis.
The Rock, on the other hand, believes he had a strange relationship with his father. Talking about the same, he opened up in an interview with Playboy magazine.

In an interview with Playboy Magazine, Black Adam’s actor was asked if Rocky Johnson was a good father. It is widely known that Johnson’s father was a major pro wrestler who, like any other pro wrestler, was always on the road. Thus, he wasn’t always at home to be a parent. However, as per DJ, he was a good father, although he had a difficult time dealing with him.
He stated, “Yes, but our relationship went through a very stressful time. He was gone so many years, always on the road from the time I was born. Now I’m lucky to be in one spot, filming on location. My wife and daughter can stay with me. I’m not in a different city every night. Through the duration of his career, he was.”
Moreover, he added, “All of a sudden he retired from wrestling, he came home, and there was another man in the house. I was 15, six-foot-four, 220 pounds, playing football, coming into my own, and very close to my mom. Suddenly, he was my dad again. That caused a lot of stress.”
